You shouldn't wake up in a bad mood. If you always do, something needs to change. According to Ask Men, here's how to be less grumpy in the morning:
1. PLAN YOUR CLOTHES
Pick out your outfit the night before, so you don't have anything to worry about in the morning. Your clothing will already be ready for you.
2. HOLD off on YOUR PHONE USE
You don't need to check your email the second you get out of bed. Put your work on hold until after breakfast.
3. CRANK SOME MUSIC
Play something fun and upbeat as soon as you get out of bed. It'll put you in the right frame of mind.
4. DON'T JUST DRINK WATER
Cold water actually can wake you up, which is why you should shower in the morning, or at least splash your face with some cold water like they do in the movies.
5. Get Some FRESH AIR
If you have a balcony or a backyard, use it. The fresh air will do you good.
6. IT'S ALL about the SMELL
Preset your coffee maker, so that you'll smell that coffee as soon as you wake up. When you have something to look forward to, like a delicious cup of joe, you won't be as cranky.
7. NO SUGARY BREAKFASTS
Don't eat a sugary breakfast. Eat one that's packed with protein, so that your sugar high doesn't wear off before you even get to work.
8. Get up Earlier
This may seem counterproductive, however, if you get up earlier you have more time. You can enjoy your morning coffee, exercise, read, anything that will put you in a good mood before you start the grind of the day.
Getting up and giving yourself time to unwind is great! You can clear your mind of all the drab you have to do and just focus on your mood and yourself.
10. Make Your Bed
Making your bed when you get up in the morning reduces your urge to want to climb back in which will put you in a better mood.
