Time Yourself Getting Ready

You may be late because you aren’t aware of how long it takes you to get ready. You could be underestimating the time it takes. Have you ever timed yourself getting ready? Chances are that you haven’t but it can be very helpful to do this. Once you know how long it takes you to get ready, you’ll know exactly how much time you need to allow.

2

Avoid the “Nothing Fits” Problem

Don’t you hate when nothing fits right or you just can’t seem to find the right outfit? You can avoid this problem by tackling it the night before. Choosing you clothing beforehand saves you the stress of this problem when you’re getting ready. If you think there’s going to be a possible problem about fit, try it on, too. There’s nothing worse than scrambling for an outfit last minute.

3

Resist the Urge to Scrap Your Hairstyle

You know what I’m talking about don’t you? You work forever on your hair and then in one split second, you decide you hate it so you immediately comb out the curl or take down your carefully constructed ponytail. Don’t do it. You’ll not only make yourself late but probably not get your hair to look as good as it did originally. When that feeling hits, give your hair a final spritz of hairspray and walk away.

4

Get Your Things Together Ahead of Time

If you need anything more than your purse as you head out the door then you should prepare it ahead of time. A lot of times we girls love to carry a tote bag along to take extra things. The time to pack it is the day before. If you’re going to an appointment and know you’ll have to wait, slip your book into your purse or on top of it the night before. Whatever is going with you should be packed and prepared early.

5

Keep Your Keys and Purse in the Same Spot All the Time

Nothing is worse than being ready to walk out the door and realizing you don’t have a clue where your keys are. You could be running on time and now you’re suddenly late because you can’t leave without your keys. Frustrating, right? You can avoid this issue by keeping your keys in the same place all the time, and ditto with your purse. You’ll save yourself a lot of headache by following this practice.

Same here @Dakota lol

I agree with Beryl, set your watch ahead 10 minutes and when scheduling appointments mark your calendar 15 to 30 minutes earlier.
