1

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

Who doesn't love the film version of Eat, Pray, Lov? But have you read the book? This is absolutely one of the best biography books that I've ever read. It's written beautifully, laid out smoothly and truthfully, it's an incredible story. If you want something you can get lost in, this is the book for you!

2

My Life in France by Julia Child

Who doesn't love Julia Child? I do and I think that her book, My Life in France, is absolutely amazing. I am obsessed with France, specially Paris, and this is an awesome outline of everything that Julia and Paul did in France. It is a perfect little story that you can absolutely forget yourself in!

3

Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen

If you've ever seen the movie about this one, then you know all about the purpose and exactly what the story is about. This is actually a story about Susanna's experiences in a psychiatric hospital, how she got out of it and how she went through it. I love this story and Susanna is absolutely one of the best authors out there!

4

Lucky by Alice Sebold

Lucky is a book that I love, but a lot of people might think is a little ... strange to put on a list of the best biographies. It's a book about a girl that is going through some struggles after she was raped and beaten. It's a life changing book about really finding yourself and saving yourself.

5

The Long Hard Road out of Hell by Marilyn Manson

I know what you are thinking – why is Marilyn Manson on AWS? Ladies, I know that Marilyn Manson is such a controversial guy, but if you have ever read this particular book, you might be able to see some insight into why he is the way he is. This is a book outlining his childhood, why he became Marilyn Manson and just who he is. It's beautifully written too – which is what I look for.

Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes

I just watched this movie over the weekend and I love it! The book is even better though! It's all about Frances' experience in Tuscany, when she brought a villa there just out of the blue. It's such a unique story and perfect to take on vacation!

7

The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio: How My Mother Raised 10 Kids on 25 Words or Less by Terry Ryan

Finally, this is another movie that I absolutely love and I have to admit – I saw the movie before reading the book. It's all about a girl that has won a ton of different prizes, by submitting little jingles. It's unconventional and such a cute story!

So girls, while these might not be your best biographies to read, they are mine! What about yours? What are some books I should watch out for?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Marylin Manson certainly deserves to be in this list!!!it makes me glad that you still put him on the list.many people over look him because he is "controversial" but he is a very intelligent man.but most people won't even hear him because of his look.thats pretty sad to me that people are that closed minded.and just to throw it out there Marylin Manson is child's play compared to other acts out there.

Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls is phenomenal.

I love the book by Alice seabold but isn't it lucky bones? I've read the book millions of times and I love it

Lucky and The Lovely Bones are both written by Alice Sebold. Two different books. I want to read them both!

'Chinese Cinderella' by Adeline Yen Mah is my absolute favourite. It helped me through some serious hard times in life and I noticed it is not on the list.

I love the glass house by Jeanette walls

@kimmijax Just Kids by Patti Smith, beautifully written, genuinely sentimental memoir <3
