7 Fun Things to do at Home when You're Bored ...

This may sound quite boring to some, but to me, watching documentaries is one of the most fun things to do at home when you're bored. I enjoy educating myself in fun ways and I really like learning and watching docs on real life events, biographies, and even conspiracy theories! Netflix has some really great and interesting documentaries that range through different subjects and concepts. From 9/11 to wars to animal cruelty, you will be fascinated with some of these docs. Train your brain!

Board games can actually be so much fun! It is a great way to spend time with your family, friends, or significant other. There are countless board and card games for every age group. It is unfortunate that something you would think is so common has become so rare! Try playing a board game with your family or friends and see for yourself how great of a way to spend quality time with your loved ones this is.

Another fun thing to do in the comfort of your own home is some DIY (do it yourself) crafts or projects. From home decor and home improvement, to makeup and skincare, the options are truly endless. Online there are so many step by step instructions for fun things to create. This is a great way to spend your time when there is nothing to do. It's fun, productive and different!

Video games are another way to do something fun at home. You can pick up a game at a store, or use a game you already have. I suggest playing video games with family, friends or your significant other to spend quality time. There are so many cool games that are also age appropriate for the X-box, PlayStation, or even PC! The options are endless!

It is important to find something you personally enjoy doing to keep yourself busy at home. The TV and computer can get very dull, very quickly. Experiment with different activities like yoga, exercise, art or music. There are many yoga poses or exercises that you can find online and practice at home. If you like art, try drawing or painting. If you love music, pick up and learn to play an instrument or sing. My mom loves making jewelry, so she does just that! Find what you love doing for fun.

If you have a free day and nothing to do, you know what that means... spa day! Take this time to create an at home beauty day. Do your nails, dye your hair, grab a face mask and some cucumbers! Do the things that you normally don't have time to do like a hair conditioning treatment or mask that needs to sit in your hair for over 30 minutes to an hour or so. Experiment with different makeup, skincare, and outfits!

I find cleaning to be a therapeutic treatment. I really enjoy organizing and reorganizing. Try reorganizing your vanity or closet. They say when you organize your drawer, you organize your life. Another thing you can do is clean out your closet or makeup. This is a chance to give your old things away (maybe to a charity) and make room for new things. These are things you can do with your time that you normally don't have enough time to do!
