1. How Will I Know – Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston was a phenomenal artist! I love majority of her songs, especially How Will I Know! This song is one of the most catchy and fun songs from the 80s! As soon as you catch on to the lyrics, you can’t resist singing them!

2. Wake Me up before You Go-Go – Wham!

Another fun song from the 80s that you can’t resist dancing and singing to! When I hear this song, I smile every time. I don’t know how Wham! came up with it, but I think this song a masterpiece! If you’re feeling down, turn on this song, because it’s a complete mood changer!

3. I’m so Excited – the Pointer Sisters

I love this song so much, that I just added The Pointer Sisters station to my Pandora! I don’t know why, but ‘I’m So Excited’ makes me want to dance until I drop a few pounds! I think I’m going to add it to my exercise playlist. It’s so upbeat, catchy, and well… exciting!

4. Sweet Dreams – Eurythmics

To be honest, I have no idea what this song is about. All I know is that my head and arms want to do the robot every time it comes on the radio! Vh1 lists it as one of the top songs of the 80s, so I guess I’m not the only one who likes to dance to this beat.

6. Girls Just Want to Have Fun – Cyndi Lauper

When I hear this song, I picture myself driving in a pink convertible with the top down having fun with my girls! This song title is the perfect line to quote when someone tries to rain on your parade; "Girls just want to have fun"!

7. Take on Me – a-Ha

‘Take on Me’ is a fun song from the 80s because it’s like a blast to the past! It makes you feel like you belong in the 80s! I’m a 90s baby, but when this song plays, I wish I was alive to witness when this amazing song came out! I would be at every A-Ha concert because of this fun song!

8. Love is a Battlefield – Pat Benatar

I don’t know if I thought this song was fun when I first heard it, or after I witnessed Jennifer Garner’s amazing sleepover in the movie "13 Going on 30" ... either way, I dance and sing out the lyrics every time I hear it!

9. Livin’ on a Prayer – Bon Jovi

I don’t know about you, but when this song comes on I can’t help but to yell out the lyrics! "Wooah! We’re halfway there!! Oooo-oh! Livin’ on a prayer!"

10. Beat It – Michael Jackson

I don’t think it’s humanly possible to listen to this song without moving your feet, neck, and/or shoulders. This music video shows that singing and dancing can create unity between even the worst of foes! This is one of my most favorite Michael Jackson songs to sing and dance to! "Beat iiiiit!"

Some of these songs???? Seriously??? I grew up in the 80 's and liked some of these songs yeah. But they are not what made me wanta "shake my groove thing"
