When you are so bored that time seems to stand still, taking fun online quizzes is a great way to entertain yourself. I am so busy that I rarely get bored, but on the rare occasions that boredom creeps in I have found fun online quizzes to be the answer to the tedium of watching the clock tick. Most of the time, the quizzes I take are sent to me by friends, and I save them for when I need a little fun. These quizzes are some of my favorites, and although meant for amusement some of them are surprisingly accurate. If you are bored, these quizzes just might be the answer to your problem.
1. Best City for You
Take it: buzzfeed.com
If you are looking for a fairly short quiz, “What city should you actually live in?” is a great choice. It asks questions such as your favorite way to drink your coffee and top place to visit on your bucket list. At the end of answering these seemingly innocuous questions you will be told what city best suits you. My friends and I have all taken this quiz, and have been surprised by the accuracy of the results. In case you are wondering, I should live in Paris. If taking this quiz doesn’t end your boredom, read on for more fun online quizzes.
2. Musical Characters
Take it: buzzfeed.com
Have you ever wondered which musical you should star in? This quiz will answer that question, and it will probably be a favorite if you are a fan of musicals. This quiz also asks about your favorite way to take your coffee. I guess how you drink your coffee can be quite revealing. Who knew? It also asks which X-men character best represents you. Having never seen X-men, I had to take a wild guess. After answering all of these questions and being given the name of the musical you should star in, you will want to look up the musical, which could lead to more entertainment and further reduce your boredom.
3. Regional American Dialect
Take it: nytimes.com
The regional American dialect quiz is from the New York Times, but it is based on questions developed by the Harvard Dialect Survey. This survey is from a project that was put together by Bert Vaux and Scott Golder in 2002. As one of the more scientifically based quizzes, it is fairly accurate. Even with my odd language habits that I developed from my English grandfather and Canadian mother, the quiz accurately told me what region I grew up in. With 25 questions, this may be the longest quiz. As in depth as the questions get, you probably won’t be disappointed with the result.
4. Disney Princesses
Take it: zimbio.com
I think every little girl has a favorite Disney princess, mine was Cinderella. When I saw this quiz, the little girl in me was very excited. I had a very fun time taking it, and was not unhappy with the result. Although I wouldn’t be Cinderella, I would be Aurora if I were a princess. I suppose with a quiz telling you which Disney princess you would be, it is hard to be disappointed no matter what the result is. This is certainly a quiz you will want to take if you have ever been a fan of Disney movies.
5. Grey’s Anatomy
Take it: zimbio.com
This quiz is definitely more mature than the last one, especially since it asks questions about your favorite alcoholic beverage. Yet, if you are a fan of Grey’s Anatomy it is a fun quiz to take. Since Grey’s Anatomy is one of my favorite shows, I certainly had fun with the quiz. Being told I would be Richard Weber was a little odd, but I didn’t mind since it was an amusing quiz to take.
6. Past Life
Take it: apps.facebook.com
If you have ever wondered who you were in a past life, this quiz is right up your alley. It is also perfect for you if you are a fan of history like I am. I had fun with the quiz, and I was not disappointed by being told I was Queen Elizabeth I. She was a very strong queen and did reign during England’s Golden Age. I was curious to know who some of the other historical people are, and found out Marie Antoinette is also a possibility.
7. Super Power
Take it: mylifetime.com
What’s your super power? If you can’t answer, then you need to take this quiz. You won’t be told you can leap tall buildings in a single bound, but you will be told something like your super power is healing. Healing, by the way, is my super power. Essentially, this quiz tells you what some of your strengths are, which is a great boost for confidence.
While I don’t spend hours on the computer taking quizzes, I do at times need to do something for my boredom. All of these quizzes are fun and entertaining and great if you need a little distraction. I hope you will take some of them next time you need a some amusement. Which quiz is your favorite?
