Pikachu
How could you hate Ash’s best friend? This original Pokemon was the first one that Ash ever obtained. He doesn’t like being inside of his Poke Ball, so Ash kept him out and let him walk around with him. Pikachu is so desirable that even Team Rocket couldn’t keep their hands off of him. Everyone wants this electric Pokemon to call their own.
Bulbasaur
In the original video games, Bulbasaur is one of the starter Pokemon that Professor Oak offers to players. He’s a grass and poison type Pokemon, who is weak to fire, flying, psychic, and ice types. Over time, he evolves into Ivysaur, and finally Venusaur. On the show, Ash captured a Bulbasaur by fighting him with his Pikachu. Bulbasaurs are the very first Pokemon in the Pokedex.
Frequently asked questions
Charmander
Who doesn’t love Charmander? He was another one of the starters in the first video games who looks like a small dinosour with a flame on the end of his tail. He evolves from an innocent looking Pokemon to Charizard, who is strong and stubborn. As long as he listens to you, he can be useful in battle. His weakness is water, so keep him away from the beach!
Squirtle
This is the last of the original starter Pokemon. Squirtle is a water type Pokemon who has a shell to hide inside of. He looks like a tiny turtle and is weak to electric and grass type moves. Don’t think that his small size means that he can’t do damage. After enough battles, he evolves into Wartortle and finally Blastoise.
Jigglypuff
You either love or hate this Pokemon. If you were a fan of the television show, you know Jigglypuffs have a love for song. They sing lullabies until their victim falls asleep. Once they do, Jigglypuff draws all over their face with a marker. It’s the Pokemon equivalent of falling asleep first at a slumber party.

Meowth
How could you forget this Pokemon? On the show, Meowth worked with Jesse and James. Even if you hated Team Rocket, you have to admit how clever their Meowth was. He was one of the only Pokemon able to speak in a language viewers understood. He was intelligent, even if he used his smarts for evil.
Eevee
Eevee is one of the Pokemon that you can’t help but love. It’s absolutely adorable in its original form and can evolve into multiple different Pokemon. What it evolves into depends on what stone or rock Eevee is exposed to. Although it starts out as normal, it can evolve into almost any type of Pokemon. The choice is all yours, so choose wisely!
