1

Have a Wild Party

At least once in your lifetime you should host a big party celebrating the awesomeness of you. Invite all your friends, get a cute frock, prepare fancy party food and then celebrate all night long. Be completely indulgent and dance the night away with the people you love. The memories of a fun party can last a lifetime, so make it a good one. The ultimate way to celebrate your birthday is to hold a dream party.

2

Have a Makeover

Your birthday is a special day, so you will want to look and feel your best. Birthdays are a super excuse to get a new look or get pampered. Whether you book yourself into the hairdressers or get a M.A.C makeover – treat yourself like a princess and look a million dollars in all the pictures taken later in the evening.

3

Get Writing

something I have been doing since the age of 13, is that each year on my birthday I write a letter to myself to open on another birthday. This year I get to open a letter written by me when I was 21 years old. It’s so fun to see what the younger version of yourself thought. You will be amazed to see how much you have grown up. You can make future predictions and resolutions and watch year by year as all your dreams come true.

4

Make a Splash

If you are one of those people who are good with their money and cautious about buying big luxury items, throw caution to the wind and put your cash on the table. Treat yourself to something that your heart really wants and forget about the price tag.

5

Tea for Two

For a less typical birthday why not treat yourself to afternoon tea in a posh hotel or restaurant? Imagine cream teas, triangle sandwiches and cakes galore. This is a great one to do with your mum or relative for a civilised birthday celebration. Put on your best dress and lippy and be ladies that lunch.

6

Pick a Theme

I love themed parties where you can dress up and pretend to be someone else. There are so many themes to choose from; pirates, Hawaiian or pub golf. For one friend's birthday we all dressed up as Grandmas, with hair rollers, talc in our hair and flowery dresses – the works. We had a fabulous night. It wasn’t sexy but it was so funny.

7

Road Trip

Take a road trip and go on an adventure. The awesome thing about road trips is no matter where you end up, you will be together and make last memories about the silly things you got up to. So rally together your BFFs, pack up your stuff and head out to the beach, a theme park or camping in the woods.

8

Book a Dinner

Okay, dinners out are pretty standard birthday fun. But don’t forget it’s your special day, so you can choose the cuisine and book a big table for you all your favourite people. Most people enjoy a good meal, so everyone can join in - no excuses.

So there we go, my 8 ways to celebrate your birthday! I am so excited to be welcoming a new year and passing a special milestone in my life. Whatever you choose to do, make sure you get your own way, be indulgent and most importantly of all make sure you have a lot of fun. What will you be doing for your next birthday?
