They're cute and all but I'm a big dog person because the smaller they are, the higher pitched their barking is. Also I'm always afraid of stepping on and killing little dogs, I never have the problem with my lab.

Well said Hannah. They're lovely little things but there is too much unethical behavior in the puppy industry.

I hate to be this person, but "mini" dogs are extremely unhealthy dogs. They are often the runts of an already extremely small litter that are them starved so that their growth is stunted even more. Their bones become brittle, and this leads to them easily breaking their legs from sometiing as simple as jumping from someones lap. There are countless stories of people who purchase a miniature dog, and then within a week or two, the dog is dead from organ collapse because the little bodies cant support their organs. Of course if you know a dog is 100% naturally smaller, its perfectly fine. But most of these dogs arent, and its important to stop the mistreatment of these little dogs.

Dogs aren't accessories. They have feelings and need training and require a lot of work. I feel bad for the accessory dog

Totally agree with Hannah. The medical problems and unethical breeding if these little dogs is awful. They can also suffer epilepsy, water on the brain, heart and respiratory defects, behavioural problems and their birth itself can be perilous for the mother. I sound like I'm on a rant,I know, but there is a definite ethically dark side to teacup dogs.
