Inspirational Songs are things that can bring you up, no matter what kind of day you're having. Music is huge in my life and whether I'm having a crappy day at work or a great day with the Better Half, inspirational songs really can change my mood. So ladies, below are my top 9 inspirational songs that bring me up every time that I listen to them!
Eminem is one of the few artists out there that inspires me beyond words. Lose Yourself is one of the few inspirational songs that still brings a tear to my eyes! I love the lyrics, love the meaning and love how into the rapping Eminem gets. Listen to it and tell me you don't feel inspired!
Now, I remember Drake back when he was Jimmy on Degrassi. I typically am not the hugest fan of Drake, however Forever is a song that really makes me change my views on the rapper. He did come from practically nothing and made a name for himself.
Katy Perry is one of the few artist that comes up with a ton of inspirational songs on every single album. The most recent song of hers that is super inspirational is Firework. I love this song – a ton. It perks me up every single time that I listen to it. It's one of the few songs that can get me out of a bad mood instantly.
Do you ever feel like you are your own worst enemy? That you're really hard on yourself? Pink knows all about that and the song Don't Let Me Get Me proves that. This is one of the inspirational songs that proves, you shouldn't be too hard on yourself.
Lady Gaga. She is by far one of the inspirational singers in the entire world. This song. Ladies, this song is definitely at the top of my list when it comes to inspirational songs. This song is all about love, all about accepting and really makes me know that no matter what my skin tone, sexual orientation or body type – I was born this way!
Life is hard, messy and isn't an easy ride all of the time. You can't predict the future or what it holds for you, nor can you predict how many times you're gonna be pushed around. This song really lets you know that you aren't alone and that everybody feels the way you do – at some point in their life. It's the ultimate song to bring you up and make you feel better.
I love Savage Garden. Even though they broke up, I love everything about their messages and their music. I think that a lot of Savage Garden's songs could be classified as inspirational songs. This song though, I wish that everybody had these views. Whether it is the sun never setting on an argument or you can't choose your sexual orientation – this song makes you look further than just skin deep.
TLC was definitely one of the most inspirational bands out there in the 90's and the early 00's. This song though. This song was on my iPod forever. It made me think about myself, made me question my thoughts about myself and really made me think about something other than my looks. It's a song about accepting yourself for just the way you are and never letting someone else cut you down or making you change yourself. So you don't have the ideal body type – if you are healthy, you should be happy with yourself. Listen to it ladies, it's got a great and inspirational message!
So, before this post, I hadn't heard this song since it came out on the radio in 1999. I forgot how inspirational this song was, how the words really cut through your soul and get down into your fears. I friggin' love the meaning, love the fact that it can pinpoint things that I do, even today – like keeping my old love letters. It's an amazing song!
Some of the most inspirational songs come from artists you might not even think about.
