The Independence You Gain
It’s easy to be a product of influence in high school, when there’s so many people telling you what to do and who to be, but in college the only one who’s there to make you do anything is yourself. That's how college will teach you about yourself.
For most people, this is the first time in their lives that they are truly on their own. While more freedom does come with added responsibility, there’s also a sense of independence that you may not have experienced up until this point.
What’s better than not having anyone to tell you when to go to bed or that you can’t have pizza for the sixth time this week? Absolutely nothing.

The Memories You Make
Whether you’re going to your first frat party or sneaking onto the football field, starting college is extremely exciting, with all of its new and fun experiences.
College is where you can gain a whole new perspective on life that isn’t influenced by the people who have known you since you were in diapers.
This is the time to learn who you are, what you like and what you really want in life. There’s nothing stopping you from making memories that are sure to last a lifetime.

The People You Meet
You never know who you’ll meet when you go off to college. Most of us will spend our first year living in a dorm, which is one of the best places to start making friends. This is probably the last time in anyone’s life that everyone around them will be the same age.
College is a great opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, people you may not have met otherwise.
The nerdy chic girl sitting next to you in Geology 101 could be your new best friend, and maybe the hot guy you’ve been eyeing in the library will be the love of your life.
You’ll meet some people you won’t like and some that you’ll love, but with each one, you learn something new things about yourself and others.
The campus is your oyster, and the opportunities are limitless.
