1. Catch up on Movies

One of the fun winter activities you can enjoy is to catch up on all the movies you missed while you were out doing things in the warmer months. Nothing is better than curling up with a favorite hot beverage and a stack of movies to entertain you. You can enjoy them alone, with your sweetie or with a gaggle of girlfriends. This is also cheap entertainment which you sometimes need after all that Christmas shopping. The only problem is deciding which movie you want to watch first.

2. Get Crafty

You can use long winter evenings to create all kinds of neat crafts. You can make things for your home such as a wreath or jewelry organizer or go for more personal things such as a scarf or decorative hair ties. Check out diy.allwomenstalk.com for ideas and then head to your local craft store to stock up on supplies. You may find that you love being crafty so much that it’s your new favorite hobby. If you want some company, you can always invite a friend to join you.

3. Pull out Your Board Games

The fun of board games has been somewhat forgotten. We’re all so busy on our phones and other gadgets that we’ve forgotten how much fun a board game can be. Have an old-fashioned game night and invite some friends over. You’ll probably laugh more than you have in ages and have tons of fun whether you win or lose. It may become your favorite way to spend a winter evening.

4. Bake Cookies

This one’s definitely the yummiest activity on the list. Who doesn’t love fresh baked cookies? You can make them totally from scratch or pick up some refrigerated cookie dough to bake. Fresh baked cookies that’re still warm from the oven are one of life’s simple pleasures. If you don’t want to over-indulge, it’s something that’s really nice to share with a neighbor, too.

Sunshine and blue skies bring positivity and joy and it's important for every woman to take full advantage of it. Even when stuck indoors, it's still possible to enjoy some good vibes. Check out these unique tips on how to make the most of the weather right at your home. Let's celebrate every beautiful day, no matter where we are.

5. Enjoy Online Shopping

If you’re in the mood to shop but don’t want to fight the cold and snow, enjoy some online shopping from home. There’re some definite advantages to online shopping. For one thing, there's usually more options to choose from than what’s available in a store. Secondly, online shopping sometimes offers you better deals. And it’s always fun to anticipate a package coming in the mail.

6. Read a Good Book

I know all you fellow readers out there are agreeing with this point. Long winter evenings are the perfect time to dive into that stack of books you’ve had building up for ages. Last year, I powered through the Divergent series in days. A snowstorm was the perfect opportunity to do that. A good book and a cup of hot tea or hot chocolate can make for the perfect evening.

7. Cuddle up with the One You Love

Cold winter evenings were made for cuddling. Just enjoy your time together as a couple. It’s great when you can get out and do things together when it’s warm and sunny but there’s also something to be said for enjoying gray winter days together indoors. Even just watching reruns on tv can be fun if you’re doing it with the one you love. Enjoy these long winter evenings to cuddle now; when spring comes you may miss them.

These are 7 winter activities for long, cold evenings. What’s your favorite way to spend a winter evening? I look forward to reading your comments.
