While I would like all of these product concepts to become reality, this is the one that I most impatiently have my eye on. As I’ve mentioned in other articles, my husband and I have crammed two apartments' worth of stuff into one and we have no room. This phenomenal design would clear up half of my kitchen while also giving me tons of storage! We rarely use our kitchen table anyway, so it would be wonderful to just be able to pop it into our shelving unit until we need it. I don’t know how much this will cost when it is finally marketed to the general public, but whatever the cost, I’m buying one!

2. Envol Portable Desk

This lap desk is perfect for everyone because it converts into whatever style of desk you need. I use my laptop all over the house. We have a chaise lounge that I love to lie in to write, but we also have the world’s most comfortable futon, and sometimes I like to write in bed just before I go to sleep. I have definitely wished, on more than one occasion, that I had a lap desk with differing heights that I could adjust depending on what furniture I was sitting/lying on at the time. Voila! Ask and you shall receive!

3. Pocket Bands

These are actually being released in a month or two. They started as a Kickstarter project and were incredibly successful, so they are making a new batch of these amazing, stretchy rubber bracelets in a remarkable variety of colors and patterns to sell to the public. The underside of the bracelet has a little pouch big enough for a bit of money, your house key or some other small trinkets. I’m thinking this would be incredible for when you’re heading to the bar for the night. I don’t know about you, but whenever I hit the bar I spend an insane amount of time worrying that I’ll leave my wristlet somewhere if I have a few too many and forget I have it with me. If I could tuck my money and my key into my bracelet, I’d have nothing to worry about!

4. Window Socket

How amazing would it be if you could use your corded electric devices ANYWHERE? This handy gadget would make that possible by harnessing solar energy! You attach the disk to any window and you can plug in your electronics right away. Better yet, you can wait until it is fully charged and take it with you to use whenever and wherever! I truly hope this product becomes mass produced and is available to everyone!

5. Safety Ski Poles

I am not a skier. MOSTLY because I’m incredibly uncoordinated and terrified that I would fall and break both of my legs or get buried under the snow somewhere, unable to call out for help. While these awesome ski poles won’t prevent me from clumsily falling on my face, they WILL keep me from dying a slow, cold death. The poles are equipped with a GPS tracker, so should your friends suddenly notice you’re missing, they’ll be able to find you. It also projects a large red SOS onto the snow so anyone passing by knows you’re in need of assistance. Love these!

6. Bod Pods

You know those dish and/or clothes washing detergents that come in the little disintegrating pods? Bod Pods are exactly that, only for your body! No more plastic bottles cluttering your shower or tub or the earth! You buy these little pods and as the hot water splashes onto them they dissolve in your hand! I have to say, this would make me feel pretty futuristic, and I think it’s insanely cool.

7. Cocoon 1

While the table and chairs product concept above is the one I would buy the instant it comes out, this is the product that I dream about owning. It is scheduled to come out this fall and will cost an estimated $3,000 for the basic set up. Don’t cringe too much. While that is a steep price tag, just wait, this Cocoon is awesome! It can be used indoors or outdoors and while the 3 grand gets you the cocoon itself and the basic padding that fits inside, you can also choose to purchase the kitchen and water kits, which allow you to have running water, electricity for cooking and 40 hours of light per charge. Essentially you could live in this little pod! While I wouldn’t want to do that 365 days per year, I would definitely love to spend a week or so in one, especially since you can buy the optional net which allows you to hang the whole get-up in a tree!
