3. Aloe Vera
The sun is out and what is the first thing that I did when I hit the beach up? Get sunburned! Aloe Vera is a plant that you shouldn’t ever be without, especially in the summer. All you need to do is slice off some of the leaves and use the gel inside on any burns to instantly soothe and cool them. Believe me, this plant will make all the difference when the sun burns your skin!
4. Black Cohosh
This is one of the natural herbs that is not one very well-known but if you are going through menopause it is a definite must! Not only will it help kick some of those menopause symptoms to the curb but it also helps manage your body's overall health! So if you are sick of all of those hot flashes and cold night sweats, Black Cohosh is the herb you should have in your home!
Ginger has been used a lot in cooking, especially in Japanese and Chinese dishes but did you know that there are actually a lot of other uses for this awesome root? You can use it to help with everything from menstrual cramps all the way to bronchitis. My mom always told me that I should have witch hazel in my home – honest to goodness, she bugged me about it and I never understood why. When I got a really bad cold and she gave me some witch hazel to gargle with, I finally understood why this herb is so great. Not only does this little herb work to treat mucous membranes to keep them from leaking, but it actually can help with bruises, sprains and even stops bleeding. This is now one of the natural herbs that have become a staple in my home!
7. Ginkgo Biloba
Ginkgo Biloba is another one of my favorite herbs and one that has been around for centuries. Do you ladies have problems with your memories? This is the little herb that will be able to help you! Not only will it improve your memory skills but it can also help treat and prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
While you might have heard that chamomile can help put you to sleep that's not all it can do! This is one of the natural herbs that has a lot more meanings than just being able to help you get the sleep that you need. In fact, you can use it to speed up the healing of wounds or burns and can also use it to relax your muscles if you are tense. Just slip some chamomile tea bags into your bathtub and I promise, your body will thank you in the morning!
9. Tea Tree Oil
Oh the many, many uses of tea tree oil. Honestly ladies, this is one that you should stock up on because it can treat athlete's foot, lice, boils (as attractive as that sounds, it still works for it!) and even acne! This little oil is awesome and the best part about it is the fact that it is all natural!
