Often we cry because we feel hurt and affected by something or someone in our lives, especially, if we are a very sensitive person, but what some may not realise is that we actually have other choices as well. We can choose to save our beautiful, precious tears and find other ways to cope with aspects which may make us sad and tearful.
This healthy way of thinking promotes personal growth and a whole new outlook on life, so let's not waste anymore time and get into how exactly you can do that, even if you are the most sensitive person ever!
Sometimes we mix with the wrong people and get stuck in a 'bad' crowd, meaning one that's unhealthy and ultimately not good for us. Bad friends can also be defined as people we are close with but who don't have our best interests at heart, sometimes choosing to hurt us in one or another. This may especially happen if we've chosen to trust them prior to realising the truth about them and the state of the friendship.
At the end of the day, if they proved they weren't a good friend by betraying you in any way, they are best forgotten and left in the past. You're always better off without bad friends!
Everyone feels jealous from time to time as it's completely a natural and normal feeling, but it's definitely not worth your tears! If you find yourself feeling jealous over something, especially on more than one occasion, it's important to take the time to realise why you're feeling jealous - what is it exactly about this thing or person that you're envious of?
Once you consider this, you can start to appreciate yourself for everything you are and have, using this thought process to stifle jealousy in the future.
Bad dates can seem very cringe-worthy at the time, and I'm sure we can all relate to a date where you've never been so quick to get away from so you can bury your face in your hands! Unless something awfully tragic happens during this date - in which case it's good to cry for a natural release - it's really not worth your tears!
In the later years you will probably be laughing about it with your friends as you remember the date, and that should be something to look forward to!
Everyone makes mistakes as this is simply a part of life, but it's how we deal with these mistakes that can define us as individuals. Even though some mistakes can be major and life-changing, unfortunately once it's done it's done and it can be pretty hard (if impossible) to reverse what was said and done.
With time comes acceptance, and even simply knowing this could help immensely the next time you find yourself making a mistake. This is because you can use it to your advantage by seeing it as a learning experience that has shaped you into the person you are today. So please, save those precious tears!
As much as we may try to resist change, it's an inevitable part of life that we must learn to accept. It's easy to fear change because that's when unpredictable events enter our comfortably predictable lives and can threaten to turn our world upside down - often without our permission.
Some things in life we can't control, even though naturally we try to do this, and once you understand this it's easy to see that change is not worth our tears. On the other hand, one thing it is worth is your acceptance. To accept change is to choose to 'go with the flow' and take life as it comes, as we never know what it's going to throw at us next!
Negativity has a way of creeping into our lives in various ways, and you may not always see it come in (it's known for moving slowly and subtly) until it's staring you right in the face. It's natural that negativity causes tears and even misery because it's undesirable and can have a huge impact on ourselves and our lives.
Although, you can try and limit your confrontation with negativity but focusing on keeping your life full with positivity and good vibes! If you surround yourself with good people, healthy relationships and just overall things that are beneficial for you, you should find yourself with minimal or no negativity in your life!
Again, bullies can easily impact our lives in undesirable ways and you may be unfortunate enough to come across a couple in your life. If this is you, the best thing you can do is tell someone you trust completely what's going on and naturally you will receive help. I'm not saying this is the easiest thing to do (in fact it can be difficult and take some courage) but it is ultimately the best thing to do.
Bullies can cause us to shed a few tears, especially in our moments of weakness, but please understand that you don't have to settle for this! Focus on taking action as it may be the only way to solve the problem and stop the bullying behaviour you're experiencing in its tracks!
