Living with roommates is effing hard. I lived with a roommate once and I swore I'd never, ever do it again. It is a GREAT way to save money though and if you need to have roommates, don't worry, I've got the best survival kit out there for you! So, take a look below on how to stay sane while living with other people.
Headphones were invented for a reason.
Seriously, just slay them with all kinds of kindness.
This would be great if it worked right?
Work out chores that you actually need done, anything extra – you might be on your own. For example, if you like the floors swept a certain way, you need to take that chore.
This so, so works! Making sure that you split up everything saves money for everyone.
I do this with my wife and it makes it really clear what is due and when.
Lots and lots of limits.
If you are planning on having a party, make sure that you communicate it to your roommate.
ESPECIALLY if you have one bathroom, this is a must.
Yes, have a chore sheet but don't get OCD about it.
You'll need to know each other's finances if you are going to live together.
You've got to make sure that you both respect one another.
Seriously. Space is a must.

The busier you are, the more you don't have to be at home.
Do NOT just let issues go - you need to talk about them.
I know when I'm mad, I blow things up quite a bit – don't do that with your roommate.
Also, being passive aggressive doesn't work.
TRUST ME – texting you need to poo or that their shampoo smell is pissing you off is one thing, but save the other annoyances for in person.
Seriously, you don't need to get into a text war or a Twitter war. Do it in person.
