Delicious snacks are my undoing. I can’t resist them! I don’t feel bad, though, since I enjoy them in moderation as part of a balanced, healthful diet… but sometimes, especially around my time of the month, I can’t resist them at all… they call to me from the fridge and pantry and I have to indulge! Here are 7 delicious snacks I can’t resist!

1. Kinder Chocolate
My very favorite delicious snack is chocolate. Any chocolate. But especially GOOD chocolate, like Kinder or Toblerone or Ghiardelli’s. Even just typing this has made me crave it… yum! Now, where’s my emergency stash of chocolate…
2. Soda
Read any of m diet-advice articles here and invariably you’ll see me recommending cutting soda out of your diet if you want to lose weight or just have a more healthful diet. Well, I wish I could practice what I preach. I know what you’re thinking: “hypocrite!” and “soda’s not a snack!” Soda is a snack to me, my own brand of Kryptonite. Dr. Pepper… yum…
3. Pie
While there are a few types of pie I’ll avoid like the plague, generally speaking, there’s no more delicious snack than pie. Fruit pies, cream pies, even pecan pies. I’ll eat them all, warm, with a dollop of whipped cream. Pies are reason #495 I can’t wait for the holidays…
4. Tiny Chocolate Donuts
This sort of falls in the chocolate category I mentioned in item 1, but then again, tiny chocolate-covered donuts wrapped in clear cellophane really do deserve their own category as a delicious snack. Entemann’s are the best, but I’ll settle for store brand or Hostess. I’m not too proud.

5. Popcorn with Loads of Butter
Every night (well, nearly every night) my youngest daughter and I watch a movie together (usually Toy Story or some other Pixar adventure) and eat a bag of popcorn. Even if I hated popcorn before this tradition got rolling, I’d love it now, because just the smell of it reminds me of her, snuggled in my lap, watching a movie we love. Emotional eating? Yes, but it’s still a delicious snack.

6. Pomegranate
I know, right? Pomegranate? Oh, yes. While they’re a dickens to peel and seed, they’re worth every second of strained eyesight and stained fingers. Pomegranates are also loaded with antioxidants, making this delicious snack a healthful, guilt-free choice. And they’re in season right now so feel free to indulge!
7. Chex Mix
Who can resist the allure of Chex Mix? And is any party really a party without it? It’s crunchy, salty, and delicious, with so many different but complimentary textures and flavors. If you’re having a major salt craving, indulge, just a bit, in a little handful of Chex Mix… but go ahead and pitch those little dark brown toasty bit. Bleh.
You’d think with this many delicious snacks on my must-devour list, I’d be way off my diet, but I’m not. Remember, almost any food, even these delicious snacks, are okay in moderation. Which of these snacks is your weakness? Or is there another treat you like to indulge in? Please share!
