11 Things a Girl Should Carry with Her at All Times ...

By Donatella

It’s tempting to want to bring your whole house with you anywhere you go, but there are certainly key things a girl should carry with her at all times! I have personally found that these key things have saved me on multiple occasions…last minute sleepovers, wanting to freshen up after work, visiting my parents and then last minute deciding to spend the night…you get my drift, right? Here is a list I compiled of the most essential things a girl should carry.

1

Emergency Makeup Kit

One of the most important things a girl should carry with her is an emergency makeup kit. When putting together your kit, only think about the key essential makeup items that you will need to complete a simple and yet beautiful look! I would deem a liquid liner, mascara, concealer stick, and tiny blush palette as the most essential pieces. I’d also add ‘hair tie’ as an essential that I personally include in my makeup kit, too.

UPD:

Additionally, include a chapstick or lip balm to keep your lips hydrated and plump throughout the day. For those unexpected moments when you need a quick touch-up, a compact mirror is a lifesaver. Don't forget a neutral lipstick or gloss to quickly transition your look from day to night. A few oil-absorbing sheets can also come in handy to maintain a fresh face free from shine. Keep these items in a small pouch so you're always prepared for a makeup emergency.

2

Mini Toothbrush

Let’s face it, food causes stinky breath. There’s a simple solution – carry a portable travel toothbrush and toothpaste in your purse. It’s been a saving grace having a mini toothbrush with me at all times because there’s nothing I dislike more than having my teeth feel dirty…yuck.

3

Pads & Tampons

An obvious “must have” but clearly I need to still add this to the list – make sure you are stocked with plenty of pads and tampons at all times! Even if you don’t currently have your period, it’s always wise to have a few in the zipper pocket because you may forget to grab some when you DO have your period. Not to mention that you may be a savior to a friend simply by having extra.

4

Comfy Clothes & PJs

Big purse lovers: if you can fit comfy clothes and PJs in your purse, by all means, go right ahead. This is the one thing I need to add to this list that isn’t necessarily a “purse friendly” necessity but is certainly a necessity. What I have found helpful is to leave a bag in my trunk with a pair of PJs and a comfy pair of sweatpants. You never know when you’ll need ‘em!

5

Nail Filer

I can’t tell you how many times I have had to break off a nail completely because I didn’t have a filer handy to fix a small problem. Make sure to keep your filer covered, otherwise it will scratch your phone screen…not that it happened to me or anything…

Face Wash

Go find a small travel sized bottle in the travel section at a CVS or Walgreens or Wal-Mart and fill it with your daily face wash. Just like the toothbrush, you never know when it will come in handy to have a cleanser handy to freshen up!

7

Tweezers

I’m not sure if this is just me but I am always analyzing and obsessing over my eyebrows. It seems that while I’m in the car looking at them through the car mirror, I find every single imperfect hair that needs to be plucked. I’ve easily calmed my nerves by including a pair of tweezers in my purse.

8

Hand Sanitizer

Of course, your purse emergency kit cannot be complete without a bottle hand sanitizer…that’s all I wanted to say about this one…’nuff said. You can go on to the next one!

UPD:

It is no secret that the world is full of germs and bacteria, and with the current pandemic, it is more important than ever to stay safe and healthy. That is why it is essential for women to always carry a bottle of hand sanitizer in their purse emergency kit. Hand sanitizer is a great way to keep your hands clean and germ-free, even when you do not have access to soap and water.

When choosing a hand sanitizer, it is important to make sure that it contains at least 60% alcohol, as this is the amount needed to effectively kill germs and bacteria. It is also important to choose a hand sanitizer that is free of fragrances, dyes, and other additives, as these can be irritating to the skin. Additionally, it is important to look for a hand sanitizer that is approved by the FDA.

In addition to helping to keep your hands clean, hand sanitizer can also be used to clean items such as your phone, keys, and other items that you come into contact with on a regular basis. Simply spray the item with the hand sanitizer and then wipe it clean with a cloth.

9

Phone Charger

I have two different types of phone charges that I carry with me at all times. One is a portable phone charger that I bought at FYE for $10 that fits comfortably in my purse. I use the USB cord from that charger to then use for my second charger: the wall charger. This way if I sleep over at a friend's house or go visit my parents, I can run out without needing to second guess “do I have my phone charger?!” because I’m always carrying two.

10

Mini Perfume Bottle

Ladies, need I say more?

UPD:

Mini perfume bottles are an essential item that every girl should carry with her at all times. Not only do they provide a pleasant scent, but they can also be used to freshen up after a long day or to make a good impression when meeting someone new.

Mini perfume bottles come in a variety of sizes and styles, so you can easily find one that fits your needs and your budget. Many brands offer travel-sized bottles that are perfect for carrying in a purse or pocket. They are also available in a variety of scents, so you can choose one that best suits your personality and preferences.

When shopping for a mini perfume bottle, it is important to consider the ingredients used in the product. Look for natural fragrances that are free of harmful chemicals such as phthalates and parabens. Also, check for the expiration date to ensure that you are buying a product that is still fresh and effective.

When using a mini perfume bottle, it is important to apply the scent sparingly. A little bit goes a long way and you don’t want to overwhelm yourself or those around you. Spray it on your pulse points, such as your wrists, neck, and behind your ears, for the best results.

11

Headphones

I’m super behind on technology (and it’s sad to say that I just now purchased these headphones) but I recently bought a pair of headphones that have a built in microphone on the wire. This way, not only can I use the headphones to listen to music but also chat with people without needing to hold my phone (duh, can you tell I’m lame and behind?). Also, you can use your headphones as earplugs if you sleep over at someone’s house who snores.

Life throws curveballs and shoves surprises in your face whether you like it or not. Having these items will save you every time, promise! What is something that you always carry with you at all times not mentioned already on this list?

Yea maybe ballet like shoes u can fold n ur purse great idea

a mirror?

@Splashhhh I cart around sweats and sneakers in my car because of Murphy's Law. Flat tires only happen when you're wearing a new, expensive outfit. Not going through that again.

What no whistle, pepper spray? I insisted my daughter had both.

@Love FYI...I have on eye shadow and lip gloss and a filter. I never said I don't wear a little makeup...I said it's not something that should be an emergency.

Lotion! I always have a small bottle of lotion or moisturiser handy. And I like Dani's idea of comfortable shoes- something you can slip on in the breaks in between. As a senior in college with tons of extra curricular activities that involve running around, I can definitely get behind that idea!

I'd sooner say comfortable shoes over carrying around pjs. I think a healthy snack is something good to have and maybe condoms.... Hey I've needed those more than I've needed pjs
