6 Tasty Frozen Treats under 200 Calories ...

I've been trying to get back into a health kick **and get in better shape lately, but sometimes there is so much temptation out there, especially in the summer. I love **ice cream, Gelatis **from Rita's Water Ice, ice cream sandwiches, and frozen pops. But sometimes those tasty treats **can add up to more than 200 calories in just one snack and that means longer walks! So instead of giving into temptation I found a few great **recipes **to make my own **summertime frozen treats **with under 200 calories, which one do you think you'll make?

With this week being so hot everywhere as temps rise into the 100s I think a quick and easy** frozen pop treat is something we all need! I love **bananas **and all kinds of **berries **so I'm really excited to try this 75 calorie **snack. This recipe can be put together in a few easy steps; puree 1 1/2 cups of low-fat buttermilk, 1 banana, 1 1/2 cups of frozen or fresh berries, and 1/4 cup of honey or agave syrup until smooth, pour it into some ice pop molds, and freeze! I think even an unskilled cooklike myself can make these!

I would have never thought to put **avocado **together with a frozen treat, but I am intrigued in finding out how this tastes! What you'll need to put this interesting dessert together is a few ripe avocados, 1/2 cup of whole milk, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 1/2 cups of fat-free milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 4 strips of orange zest, 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice, and 1/4 teaspoon of coarse salt. I'm betting that the orange zest and the fresh lime juice helps to give the **avocado **a fruity taste. Check out the link for instructions on putting this **frozen recipe **together.

I really love fresh fruit smoothies, but this is another great treat that can hide some big calorie counts like the one"Eat This, Not That" site mentions that will pack 822 calories on you! Instead of milk and sugar use 2 Rooibos tea bags, 3/4 cup of water, 6 ounces of silken tofu, 10 ounces (2 cups) of frozen sweet cherries, 6 ounces (1 cup) of frozen grapes and 3 ounces (1/2 cup) of frozen blueberries. Have you ever thought of using tea **and tofu **in your fruit smoothie?

Lemonade is so refreshing during the heat waves of summer, especially when you really need something to cool you off. So why not take that** fresh lemonade a step further and make it into **frozen lemonade! With 4 cups of water, 4 lemons, 1 orange, 1 lemongrass stalk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of honey you can make yourself a sweet and zesty treat.

1. Strawberry Granita...

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Now we don't want to forget about the strawberries; since they are one of the best fruits of the summer! If you really want to make this **frozen recipe **one that will give you a cool kick why not add a little **vodka **to it, especially if you are planning to make this treat for a summer party. With 4 cups of strawberries, 5 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1/8 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon of aged balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of basil leaves you will be ready to relax.
