7 Scent-sational Candle Fragrances from Yankee Candle That Will Make Your Home Smell Inviting ...

By Tracy7 Comments

These seven candle fragrances from Yankee Candle are my favorites. I had the opportunity to work at Yankee Candle over the Christmas season some years back, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All of the staff got a big kick out of people coming in and asking for the candle that they smelled when walking in the door. Well, we couldn’t have a lit candle due to fire regulations, so what these people smelled was the combined scent of ALL the candles in the store. They probably should combine all of the candle fragrances from Yankee Candle into one awesome scent!

1 Lemon Lavender

The clean scent of lemon combined with the soothing scent of lavender makes this my absolute favorite of all the candle fragrances from Yankee Candle. You don’t have to stick your nose right near the jar to appreciate this great scent. The fragrance is strong enough to fill the room, but not overpower it. The medium Housewarmer jar candle featured provides 65 to 90 hours of fragrance.

Frequently asked questions

2 Macintosh

Apple is one of my favorite scents and this Macintosh candle is the real deal. It’s one of the best-selling Yankee Candles of all time. Try pairing Macintosh with one or more spicy fall candle scents for a wonderful aroma. The large jar candle will fill your home with juicy apple fragrance for 110 to 150 hours.

3 Clean Cotton

Some of the reasons I love the smell of the Clean Cotton candle: it smells just like fresh laundry and unlike fruity fragrances, this one won’t make you hungry! This is also a great odor elimination fragrance. The small single-wick Tumbler Candle with brushed metal lid will give you 35 to 45 hours of fragrance.

4 Mandarin Cranberry

Stock up when tarts are on sale and melt a Mandarin Cranberry this autumn. This is my go-to cooler weather home fragrance. One half orange, one half crisp cranberry, one whole awesome fragrance. Fire up the tart burner and the fragrance will last up to 8 hours, but no need to burn the whole tart in one sitting. Put the burner in the freezer for a few minutes and once the wax hardens you can pop it out.

5 Sage & Citrus

The earthy scent of the sage and the subtle citrus is a perfect combination. When I worked at Yankee Candle, I would suggest this one many times and there was either an immediate connection or a total pass. It’s hard to be on the fence with this fragrance. One sniff and you’ll know if this is for you. The perfect pillar candle with single wick will give you up to 90 hours of fragrance.

6 Harvest

The perfect fall scent? I think so and I tend to like Harvest in a votive. Now, votives aren’t known for giving off that much scent, but for some reason, the scent of Harvest in a votive or two is the perfect amount of fragrance. Votives will last for up to 15 hours.

7 Balsam & Cedar

Hello, Christmas! Of all the holiday scents from Yankee Candle, this one is a must-have every year. Balsam, cedar wood and juniper berry bring a forest into your home. The perfect Christmas present for co-workers, your manicurist and hairstyler. The large Perfect Pillar will give you up to 140 hours of Christmas fragrance.

I’m still looking for a replacement for the discontinued Juicy Grapefruit. Perhaps it’s better this way. I never was able to light that candle without craving some juicy grapefruit. Aside from great candle scents, Yankee Candle has beautiful accessories, such as jar candle shades and toppers, votive and tea light holders, and tart burners. There are fragrances for your car and delightful room sprays for your home. Do you use Yankee Candles or are you just a fan of candles in general? Which are your favorite scents?
