Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman - What You Should Know While You're Still Growing up ...

There are a few lucky people who know what their passion is from an early age and they do everything in their power to fulfill their dreams. If you are not one of them, you should know that you will spend a lot of time trying new things and figuring stuff out until you find that special something that will define you and that you will enjoy doing.

As you grow older, school will get more important since the grades you obtain on your exams will influence your career choices. Fortunately it will get a lot more fun too, since you will get to learn things that really do interest you.

You know what they say: smart really is the new sexy. Even though there are people who make fun of you now for studying so much, as you grow older, being smart and dedicated will help you land the dream job that will help you to make all your wishes come true. Also, having nerdy interests will start to pay off and you will be seen as that fun gal who everyone wants to be around.

Life is all about change, so don’t fight it. Embrace it and go with the flow. Learn from your mistakes and don’t be afraid to fail because failure can be one of the best teachers that you’ll ever have. Just let go of the things that you can’t change and don’t dwell on your past.

It’s always best to keep your plans loose and flexible. It’s good to know what you want to accomplish and what goals you want to reach when you grow up, but don’t despair if things don’t go according to your plan. Try to adapt and always make the best of what you got. Don’t beat yourself up and don’t worry about the things that you can’t change; just make new plans and see how you can turn them into reality.

Keep in mind that attitude determines altitude. A good attitude will make your life easier and more fun, it will influence your choices and the way you tackle problems or the obstacles that you will encounter in your path. Keep your attitude light and flexible and you will be happier.

How you treat the people around you does matter, so make sure that you are always respectful, polite and well-mannered, since this can get you a long way in the world. Don’t blame others for the things that don’t go according to your plan and don’t be rude to people. Take responsibility for your actions and for your feelings and be a role model.

When you grow up, relationships don’t always come easy and you have to be prepared to deal with changes, so take every chance you get, let go of expectations, love more and always be patient, empathetic, understanding and caring with other people.
