For those of you getting in your last minute water park vacays, you might want to know the necessary things to take to a water park. If you’re like me, it may be a year since you’ve gone to a water park, so you might have forgotten what kind of things you’re supposed to bring along. It’s not all waterproof mascaras and waterproof cameras. It's all good though, because I’ve made y'all a list of things to take to a water park.
When you take off your bathing suit ,you do not want to place it in your purse or near anything nice and dry. Put it in a wet bag so that it won't make a mess.

Obviously bathing suits are of the most necessary things to take to a water park. Look for a bathing suit that has ties so you can be sure to double knot your swimsuit; that way you won’t risk it falling off. Beware of bandeaus because they might be a mistake. Take sandals or water shoes so you aren’t walking on hot cement and burning your pedicured toes. Wear your bathing suit underneath your clothes; when you arrive to the water park so you can save time changing and get to the rides sooner!
I’ve forgotten my towel before and have had to go buy one (and the ones at the water park are expensive!), so I find it necessary to include this in the list. You’ll want one to dry yourself in between snack breaks and then after your shower. Target has really cute towels for like twelve dollars, so definitely check those out.
Apply sunscreen approximately 30 minutes before being in the sun (for best results) so that it can be absorbed by the skin and less likely to wash off when you perspire. Remember to reapply sunscreen after swimming. Apply sunscreen often throughout the day. Anything between 30 – 50 SPF is good.
I know you’re going to be in water all day long and you may be sick of it, but you still need to drink plenty of water throughout the day – umm, not the water you're swimming in either! Take sandwiches and fruit, that way you have healthy stuff to eat. Tip: Don’t drink soda so you won’t get bloated.
Don’t forget your money! There are these little capsules to put money in that are waterproof that you can usually find at gas stations near water parks. You never know if you’ll happen to need money, so consider taking some. Maybe the park has extra fees for certain rides or games and you’ll be sorry you didn’t take the money.
Your water park may have showers for after your day of fun, so I’d recommend taking extra clothes and toiletries. On your trip home you'll want to be clean and refreshed, so consider the idea of showering. You’ll feel much better.
You may need a first aid kit if you stumble and cut your toe or you get a headache from the hot sun. You will be happy you did. Bring along a basic first aid kit and a few bandages. These necessities may cost a lot more at the park.
These are the basic necessities to bring along with you to your water park fun day. What do you think? Do you have any other tips you think are necessary?
