Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend and I'm here to share some facts about Mother's Day. It is a special day to celebrate and honor moms. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908. And that same year she organized the first official Mother’s Day celebration at a Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia. Different versions of Mother’s Day are celebrated worldwide with a wide range of traditions depending on the country. No matter how old you are, your mom is an important person and a resource. Here are some interesting facts about Mother's Day.

1 Youngest Mother

The youngest mother on record delivered a baby boy by C-section in Lima, Peru in 1939. She was 5 years old and her family raised the baby as her brother.
