The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908. And that same year she organized the first official Mother’s Day celebration at a Methodist church in Grafton, West Virginia. 1. Youngest Mother

The youngest mother on record delivered a baby boy by C-section in Lima, Peru in 1939. She was 5 years old and her family raised the baby as her brother.
