Child geniuses can arise anywhere. Some of them grow up to become some of the most brilliant artists or scientists we can think of while others gradually fade away into anonymity. No matter how they later shape their lives' path, these children are worth being recognized for their talents and remarkable intelligence.
Elaina Smith is the youngest radio broadcaster the world has ever seen. She got the job by calling in and impressing her local radio station with her intelligent, clear and helpful advice. She was given a weekly slot to provide advice to adult listeners about issues of life and romance and has since become incredibly popular.
Boasting a truly wonderful level of intelligence, Mikaela Fudolig enrolled in the University of Phillippines at only 11 years of age and graduated at 16 as valedictorian. She is currently a PhD student and a professor at the same university.
Magnus Carlsen is one of the greatest talents of the world of chess. Having become a grandmaster at the age of 13, he became #1 in the world 6 years later, overshadowing Garry Kasparov's old ELO rating record of 2852 by almost 30 points. In 2013, he also became World Champion by defeating former champion V. Anand 6.5-3.5.
One of the more unique child prodigies on our list, Akiane began exploring her artistic talent and creativity at only 4 years of age. Many of her spiritually inspired paintings that she had completed by age 16 were considered to be among the most remarkable works of art in the world. Akiane appeared on more than 100 TV programs – including Oprah – and wrote two bestselling books.
One of Akiane's most famous works, “Prince of Peace,” was completed when she was just 8 years old and depicts her vision of Jesus Christ. Her pieces often reflect her deep connection to spirituality and have captivated audiences worldwide with their detail and emotion. Despite her young age, Kramarik has continuously pushed the boundaries of artistic expression, gaining praise from art critics and enthusiasts alike. In addition to her paintings, she is also an accomplished poet, embedding her artistic prowess into the fabric of her literary works. Akiane’s incredible journey showcases the boundless potential of youthful creativity.
With a truly scary talent for science, Taylor Ramon Wilson is the youngest person ever to build a nuclear fusor – at age 14. One of his greatest accomplishments is the design of a compact nuclear reactor that would only need to be refueled once every 3 decades.
Akrit Jaswal has sailed through his educational studies at a very young age, like most child prodigies with the IQ of Stephen Hawking; but what's even more amazing is his special talent for medicine that saw him perform surgeries at the age of 7. One of his biggest goals is to clone a dinosaur someday.
Gregory Smith already knew how to read at age 2 and enrolled in university at only 10 years of age. However, he is best known for another remarkable reason: Smith founded an Advocacy Group for peace and children's rights that almost earned him a Nobel Peace prize in 2002 (he was only 12 at the time!).
Jacob Barnett is one child genius who could give Einstein a run for his money, and has been doing so for the past few years, as he began work on his master's degree at the age of 13 and is currently studying theoretical physics at the Perimeter Institute. A curious fact about Jacob Barnett is that he has been classified as an autistic child, and “experts” said that he would never be able to learn anything like regular children could.
Some of these stories outline the potential our children can have if we help them nurture it. Which of the stories did you find more interesting? Do you know about any other child geniuses that I haven't mentioned here?
