Noughties: a Novel by Ben Masters

Noughties: a Novel by Ben Masters Price: $13.49 at barnesandnoble.com
As a college student who is halfway through my junior year, this book about life after college definitely sparked my interest. Not to mention, the main character, Eliot Lamb, has a secret crush, gets ominous messages from his ex, and has a tragic secret. I’m dying to start the book just to find out what the tragic secret is! Shh… don’t ruin it for me!

Gone Girl: a Novel by Gillian Flynn

Gone Girl: a Novel by Gillian Flynn Price: $12.99 at amazon.com
I first heard about this book to read this fall when a friend of mine posted about it on Facebook. I’ve always had a love for suspenseful, mystery books. This thriller about a marriage-gone-wrong will keep you on edge and you won’t be able to put it down. The beautiful wife goes missing and her golden boy husband becomes the first suspect. His lies and evasiveness don’t help his case, but the small town community has a hard time believing he could be a murderer.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky Price: $9.99 at amazon.com
I’m sure by now, with the release of the major motion picture of the same name, you’ve all heard about this book, but it has become one of my all-time favorite books. This book to read this fall is emotional in all the right ways. It’s about Charlie, an extremely endearing, yet awkward teenager entering high school for the first time. Everyone can relate to the ups and downs Charlie and his friends face. If you only have time to read one book this fall, this should be the one!

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

This intriguing book to read this fall is about a young girl who is on edge due to her parents’ divorce. Her father abandoned them and her mother is not dealing with the situation well. She is destroyed by rage until she discovers a diary of a Parisian girl who lived centuries before her. Their emotions and stories are so similar that their lives are weaved together to tell a story about human’s eternal struggles in life and love.

5

Office Girl by Joe Meno

Office Girl by Joe Meno Price: $15.95
I was first attracted to this book by the pretty pink book cover depicting a girl on her bicycle. Then I was drawn in by the small excerpt titled "Office Job." As described in its overview, this novel is about art, romance, and other complicated things. The two main characters, Odile and Jack, decide to start their own art movement in defiance of contemporary culture. The book is set during the time period just before the end of the world. Don’t you want to know how it all ends?

7

Sad Desk Salad by Jessica Grose

Sad Desk Salad by Jessica Grose Price: $10.19 at amazon.com
As a blogger, myself, I’m definitely excited to read this book about a full-time blogger for a site called "Chick Habit." With deadlines to meet and goals to increase page views, Alex Lyons is always looking for juicy stories. So what does she do when the juiciest story of all lands in her lap? Does she reveal all and ruin a young girl's social life to advance her career? What would you do?

This list of must read books for fall is full of hours of entertainment! I plan to read each and every one of them. What about you? Do you enjoy reading? What is your favorite book of all time? What is your favorite fall book on this list?
