7 Bizarre Phenomena We May Never Be Able to Explain ...

By Olivia

There are many bizarre phenomena we often hear about. From television shows and movies "based on true events," to our own relatives' and friends' personal experiences, it is sometimes hard to ignore the notion that there might be more to life than what we can rationally explain. While there are so many documentaries and books on bizarre phenomena out there, science has yet to find conclusive evidence to prove the existence or rationale behind many of these phenomena:

Ghosts

One of the most bizarre phenomena to me is the existence of ghosts. There are so many people that claim to have encountered some sort of paranormal activity in their lifetime. I, personally, have friends and family that would bet their lives ghosts exist because they believe they've experienced ghosts first hand. While many paranormal researchers use high-tech machinery to detect energy, sound, and video footage of spiritual beings, science has yet to find a conclusive way to prove or disprove the existence of ghosts.

2

Aliens and UFOs

Alien and UFO sightings have been around for hundreds of years. Many UFO sightings have been disproved in later years, but there are still many sightings that have gone unexplained. Despite the fact that there is no conclusive evidence as to whether or not aliens exist, society continues to hold onto the notion that we may not be the only creatures in our universe.

3

Big Foot

There are countless records of people claiming to see Big Foot, and there are many shows dedicated to finding this elusive creature. Considering the amount of episodes that have aired without anyone actually capturing Big Foot, we may never know whether or not he actually exists.

4

Loch Ness Monster

Like Big Foot, the mystery of the Loch Ness Monster has never been solved. Many people claim to have seen a monster swimming in the depths of Loch Ness, Scotland, but sources have never been able to prove or disprove the existence of this creature.

5

Mediums

Some mediums are able to talk to the dead. If you've ever watched TLC's Long Island Medium, you will understand just how dead on (no pun intended) some mediums can be regarding details of the deceased. And yet, there is no scientific way to explain exactly how living people can talk to beings that have passed on.

Near Death Experiences

Many people who were on their death beds claim to have had near death experiences before they returned to consciousness. The bizarre thing about most near death experiences is the similarities amongst those who have them; for instance, most claim to see a white light and/or see their life, literally, flash through their eyes in a matter of seconds. Why is this? No one seems to know.

7

Reincarnation

Some people believe that they already lived life on this earth as another being prior to their current life. Some accounts are so bizarre that people remember exact details of another life, which can be confirmed by other sources. But as there is no scientific way of testing the theory of reincarnation, we may never be able to explain this strange phenomenon.

So many people believe in each of these bizarre phenomena, and many even have their own experiences to back up their beliefs. What other bizarre phenomena are out there that we may never be able to fully explain?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I think kind of like a kid when I see these things. I believe in stuff without always seeing them. And it has nothing to do with my religion.

agree with you Katie:)

Sorry to rain on the parade but I grew up 20 minutes from Loch Ness and it's a giant tourist trap ! However, Inverness is fab for shopping and urquhart castle is a go see ( overlooking the loch), you can also cruise on Loch Ness but don't expect to see a " monster" !!!

Well, these things can't be proven by SCIENCE. Religion may count as enough proof for some people. For a couple of those listed things, anyway. But, I mean, I doubt anyone's religion would back up bigfoot.

It's not all about science, it's about ones religion as well

In my eyes I have to see things to believe it.
