Behavior is a mirror in which everyone shows their image, and when it comes to profanity, the reflection could do with a polish. It's especially true if younger eyes and ears are always around. They're like sponges, soaking up every word and action, and the last thing you need is a mini-me cursing like a sailor. Whether it's siblings, cousins, or just the neighbor's kids looking up to you, remember, those impressionable minds might just mimic the spicy language, and trust me, their parents won't be thrilled. Monkey see, monkey do, but let's aim for parrots who repeat only the best phrases.

UPD:

Remember, the way you lace your conversations with expletives can sometimes rub people the wrong way. It's not about censoring your true self, but rather about being mindful of the diverse sensibilities around you. In mixed company, or when you're not quite sure how your words might land, consider toning down the sailor talk—just a notch. After all, there's an art to choosing your battles and sometimes, it pays to play it safe with the words you choose to express that brilliant and fiery spirit of yours.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Well, I'm among those who rarely swear :p but I have no problem with those who do...

I swear but I know when I can and when I can't. Sometimes people think that they can't swear around me. That is what irritates me. I swear all the time I just know when not to.

@kassy if the word "fuck" offends you as much as a racial slur, you need to get your priorities in line. Obviously nobody should be using racial slurs or being a general asshat, but swearing is not rude unless directed at someone. But again, you shouldn't have the need to control what comes out of other people's mouths. Everybodies opinion is different on what is offensive or not, and if you need to be so censored that someone else swearing offends you, maybe don't go outside anymore because there will be thousands of worse things that will offend you.

I think that it's more about knowing when it's okay to swear and when not to. I would never swear in front of others more sensitive to it. Sure, you can technically say whatever you want when you want, but others can be offended or annoyed by whoever and whenever they want as well-even if you think it's unjust.

I don't swear much as it makes me uncomfortable unless I'm angry or passionate about something. But people who swear a lot tend to be more passionate and caring.

Lol love it

Honestly if someone swears, its none of your business. If it annoys you, then don't swear. But don't start controllinh what people do. Obviously if there's a child then that's fine, but if it's just you and another adult, don't tell them what they can and cannot say. That's 100% ruder than someone who curses. I swear when I'm around people who do, but everyday life it's only for emphasis. But if someone told me to stop swearing for no reason other than it bothers them, I'd get a new friend who is fine with me the way I am. I honestly stop talking to people who tell me to stop swearing around them, I don't need that extra negativity in my life.

I never understand people who swear. It's unnecessary.

Do what you like people but swearing isn't a badge of honour so there!

Agree with Manuela, inna and Evelyn. Hate swearing!
