The European Refugee Crisis in Pictures ...

Neecey

Europe is no stranger to refugees. The continent is attractive due to its accessibility (unlike the Americas) and its stability. I personally remember the Vietnamese “Boat People” arriving in Britain in 1978 and 1979 and pictures of the current refugee crisis provoke the same emotions. While refugees from many countries have been steadily streaming into Europe for decades, the current spotlight is on those fleeing war-torn Syria. Whatever your own views or political bias, you can’t fail to be stirred by these photos.

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

Loved this post!

The first one breaks my heart every time

Trust me Europe can't accept and help them all when we're already hardly making money, just enough to make a living. We might be considered as criminals but we can't welcome an entire country in such a little continent.

Neecey this is the BEST post. Thank you for reminding us that there's people suffering from things other than bad hair color or a few extra kilos. I like the titles u chose for each picture. The first one will always be heartbreaking

May god be with them , thanks for this fantastic post that made me feel so thankful now. How i wish our country can accept them .. 😔

My heart goes out to the brave citizens of Syria, who each day risk and even sacrifice their lives to achieve freedom. If only more countries opened their arms and accept these innocent people...

The reality is that the countries like to make war and destroy, but they don't assume the consequences... Those people don't want to be refugees they just want to be in a safe place. They are people that did not do nothing wrong, but they must suffer and are treated like that.... Thank you for this post. My heart and prayers are all with those people and I hope that more countries will accept them...

Such sorry state of affairs kids suffering that's the worst

@immaunicorn Its no question of possibility. Europe HAS to. (Though I think it is surely possible) I of course don't know your situation or which country your from. I know the situation now I Greece for example is impossible but that's only because Central Europe doesn't do enough. Though we live in Europe ourself, it doesn't give us more right to the space of the earth more than others. There's no such thing.

ALL countries need to band together and deal with the countries that these people are fleeing from. Also, there should be a type of foster family program for displaced children and families. Even hosting one person is giving hope and a future for that person. We should all be in this together fore this together. No matter what your faith may or not be, we are all brothers and sisters and unfortunately, instead of caring for one another, we hurt one another.
