7 Stereotypes about Women That Are Actually True ...

Stereotypes are common beliefs about certain social groups that are based on prior assumptions, but while some stereotypes are completely irrational, other stereotypes about women, in particular, are actually true. These actions became labeled as female stereotypes because they have been observed in many women for so long, and therefore prove to be completely correct most of the time. Women Are Sensitive

Most of the stereotypes about women accentuate the sensitivity that most women acquire. There are probably are some exceptions to this statement, because when are there not? However, you have to admit that each and every one of us ladies has a sensitive side. No matter how tough and strong you may present yourself to be, there is a very sensitive girl in there somewhere.

Women Love to Talk

Gossip or not, women love to talk! We love to share our ideas and form significant connections with others by bonding through verbal communication. Give us one topic and we will gradually digress to a completely different subject with ease. It just comes naturally!

Women Are Lightweights

While many women would beg to differ, science proves that this particular stereotype is true, but not for the reasons you are thinking. The ratio of water to fat is much lower in women and therefore not much of the alcohol can be diluted. In addition, women produce less of the liver enzyme, which converts alcohol into an inactive state. So there is a biologically rational explanation to this phenomenon.

Women Are Catty

This stereotype is true only under certain circumstances. It is incorrect to say that all women are catty, but it is more appropriate to re-word it to ‘All women CAN be catty.’ Even the calmest and most rational women have their breakdowns and even they can snap at others.

Women are very emotional creatures! We think too much, read into things with greater detail and unintentionally form close emotional bonds with others. At times this can be our weakness, but most of the time it is our strength. We are compassionate beings that understand the world on a very different level.

ehh, maybe for some women, but it's not right heap all women into these groups.

I agree with just about everything listed.

Men are just as emotional naturally, but are taught from a young age to be 'tough' and not show emotion so they suppress it, that's why there's an issue with men committing suicide because they aren't as likely to talk about their feelings with other as our culture deems it less socially acceptable. Also for one of the points I don't think that using the term 'catty' is correct, what your really referring to is the fact that women can also show aggression and aren't passive, agreeable creatures all the time. We stand up for ourselves too.

I agree with everything but the last to, when I'm upset I want some tea or some homemade comfort food not ice cream. and I do not go to my friends for everything. why? because they might be your friends but thy ain't family!

ummm...pretty sure men can fit into some of these stereotypes as well. Just use jerk instead of catty and you are good to go.

Ascribing positive stereotypes may seem benevolent but it is still wrong to do so as it is false. Stereotype, in its most accurate definition, should mean it is an over-simplification of a group's behavior. "Correct stereotype"? Are you serious?
