My God! The "gee whiz" response to this is infuriating! Nothing new here! Just about every one of these conditions has occurred after the very first Earth Day was established in 1970...the polar bear, extinct? Oceans of plastic garbage....WAKE UP, PLEASE!

Amazing post. I wish we could take more time and be passionate in taking care of our own planet than worrying about the possibility of moving a population to another planet and for what? To destroy that planet just as well.
