By Lauren

Usually, when hot girls start talking about gaming it’s an obvious ploy to try and get attention from guys, and that's no different when it comes to celebrity girl gamers. However, there are a few celebrity girl gamers that seem to be the real deal! Gaming is a highly male saturated industry, which makes it a lot harder for girls to come out on top. Hopefully, these celebrity girl gamers will be enough to reassure you that there are girls everywhere who love to play games just as much as you!

Mila Kunis

My favorite on this list of celebrity girl gamers is definitely Mila Kunis. Mila Kunis has admitted that she spent so much time playing the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game World of Warcraft that she had to quit completely just to be able to have a life! If you listen to her interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, she uses all the right terms and phrases regarding the game. She isn't trying to fool anyone or get more attention from guys. (Why would she need to anyway?!) She knows exactly what she’s talking about, and her video gaming credentials are completely legit!

UPD:

Mila Kunis is an American actress, producer, and voice actress. She is best known for her roles in films such as “Black Swan”, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, and “Bad Moms”. In addition to her successful acting career, Kunis is also an avid video game player.

Kunis has admitted to being an avid player of the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game World of Warcraft. She has stated that she spent so much time playing the game that she had to quit completely just to be able to have a life. Kunis’ knowledge of the game is impressive, as evidenced by her interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where she used all the right terms and phrases regarding the game.

Kunis is not the only celebrity girl gamer. Other famous female gamers include Felicia Day, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kristen Bell. All of these celebrities are proof that gaming is not just a hobby for boys, but can be enjoyed by girls as well.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox has confessed to playing Halo on X-Box Live, saying, “I have a complete addiction to that game. It is sick. I play online mostly and [other gamers] have no idea. They make fun of my gamer tag, too, because it is funny." She has also said that she loves any Mortal Kombat game and enjoys playing on her Nintendo Wii system. Guys should really be careful about insulting us ladies during online gameplay because it could just be their dream girl Megan Fox that they're bashing!

UPD:

Megan Fox is not the only celebrity girl gamer out there. In fact, there are many other female celebrities who are avid gamers. For example, singer Rihanna is an avid fan of the Call of Duty series, often playing online with her friends. Actress Kaley Cuoco is a passionate gamer, playing both console and PC games. She even has her own Twitch channel where she streams her gaming sessions.

Actress Scarlett Johansson is also an avid gamer, playing games such as The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V. She even has her own gaming room in her home, where she can game in peace. Actress Mila Kunis is another celebrity girl gamer who loves playing video games. She has admitted to being a fan of the Elder Scrolls series, and she even has her own gaming setup in her home.

Other celebrity girl gamers include singer Demi Lovato, who loves playing the Sims and Minecraft. Actress Jennifer Lawrence is a fan of the Assassin's Creed series, and she has even said that she would love to play the game in real life. Actress Emma Stone is a fan of the classic game Tetris, and she even has a Tetris-themed tattoo on her arm.

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel once confessed that she was completely obsessed with Nintendo's adventure series, The Legend of Zelda. During an interview, Zooey said, "Obsessively, I play Zelda. I had to, as sort of a show of pure willpower, give away my Super Nintendo machine because I was so obsessed with Zelda." Zooey Deschanel is already adorable on her own, but throw in the fact that she called it a "Super Nintendo machine" and she's even cuter! Not all girl gamers have to be hardcore and aggressive. You can be cutesy and still be great at your favorite game like Zooey!

UPD:

Zooey Deschanel is an American actress, singer, and producer who is best known for her roles in films such as (500) Days of Summer, Elf, and Yes Man. In addition to her acting career, she is also a self-proclaimed video game enthusiast.

In an interview, Deschanel revealed that she is a huge fan of Nintendo's adventure series, The Legend of Zelda. She confessed that she was so obsessed with the game that she had to give away her Super Nintendo machine as a show of willpower. Despite her love for the game, she still maintains a girly and cute demeanor.

Deschanel is just one of many celebrity girl gamers who love to challenge themselves with video games. Other stars who are also avid gamers include Mila Kunis, Kaley Cuoco, and Kristen Bell, to name a few. These actresses all have different gaming preferences, but all share a common passion for the hobby.

Adrianne Curry

Adrianne Curry was the winner of the first season of America’s Next Top Model, and is an inveterate geek and cosplayer! Even though it may seem like she is just trying to get attention by wearing costumes that show off her body, she really is into the whole gaming world. World of Warcraft gets constantly mentioned on her Twitter page, which shows how addicted she is to the game itself. She is also a huge Star Wars fan and an avid visitor of comic and gaming conventions! Who says you can't be hot and a little geeky all at once?

5

Cameron Diaz

Another World of Warcraft addict, Diaz has professed that she was once deeply addicted to the Massive-Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, and that she still plays it in her free time whenever she can. She has wisely never exposed her WoW handle or even the server on which she plays. If she were confessing her love of games, wouldn't she want more attention by exposing this information? Thus, Cameron makes it to our list of celebrity girl gamers!

Famous Quotes

6

Janina Gavankar

This True Blood star doesn't just 'say' she plays video games, she often posts photos and writes about it on her blog, too. Janina has even appeared on G4 TV's Attack of the Show! and Epileptic Gaming's Up All Night, where she helped review games like Rock Band, Burnout Paradise, and Army of Two. Her other signs of being a true gamer are freaking out over the sight of a Portal 2 advertisement and saying that playing Dr. Mario is the best way to unwind.

7

Rosario Dawson

Not only is she an avid console gamer, but Rosario Dawson has even made her own contributions to the gaming industry. In addition to voicing EuroCorp scientist Lily Draw in "Syndicate," she also won the Gamer's Choice “Breakthrough Performance” Award at the 2006 Spike TV VGAs for voicing Tina in Marc Ecko's "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure"! She also likes to attend Comic-Con events where she dresses up in a full masked costume so she would go unnoticed.

I myself love to play video games of all types. I grew up playing Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and Sonic the Hedgehog. I continue to play games now and am able to see how undervalued girl gamers are. Don't hide the fact that you love video games like it's something to be ashamed of, but also don't turn it into something you use for attention. Do you enjoy playing video games? What are your views on girl gamers today?

UPD:

Rosario Dawson is a well-known actress, but she is also an avid gamer. She has made contributions to the gaming industry by voicing characters in games like Syndicate and Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. She also attends Comic-Con events and dresses up in costume so she can go unnoticed.

Dawson is an advocate for girl gamers, and she believes that it is important for them to be recognized for their contributions to gaming culture. She has spoken out about the lack of representation of women in gaming, and she has encouraged other female gamers to be proud of their hobby.

In addition to her gaming activities, Rosario Dawson is also an advocate for social justice. She has been involved in a number of charitable organizations, and she has spoken out on a variety of issues, including racism, poverty, and gender inequality.

It is clear that Rosario Dawson is a passionate advocate for girl gamers. She is an example of how women can be successful in the gaming industry, and she is a role model for other female gamers. Her work is inspiring and her advocacy is invaluable.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

@Alexa it just makes you relatable to men. I've always preferred video games to real life because it inspires my writing, but I can't justify other people's reasoning. But I think you're right. There are more things to do than just play video games.

@Goldie playing games doesn't mean you don't have a life. It means you aren't some lame ass mainstream fangirl.

@ZiggyCupcake Pewdiepie? XD

Siiiims

These girls aren't legit gamers. They just play a few games. A real gamer can actually talk about more than just main stream games. They play multiple platforms, can name their preferred companies, and can actually relate to people. These are all just stars who enjoy video games, which I think is cool. Just don't call them gamers.

@Alexa I totally agree! I play video games....including some pretty "hard core" games. But I also run 6 home based businesses, raise a family, take care of a household

I play video games all the time! I don't tell guys i play. so i would never say it for attention..

Yeeeeah, not believing any of these celebrities play video games. Seems like a ploy to get attention and give off that "I'm just a (ridiculously hot) girl next door" nonsense

@Marina Lestraude thank you for the answer:) it's really cool you can get inspired by games.

I'm a big gamer myself, I'm just glad to read about other women into games as well. My addiction is to WoW and hearing Mila talk about guilds and groups was pretty cool. Word of warning, the game is highly addictive and so worth it
